God's timing is pretty incredible. Today marks two years since the first day we met. Today we also are moving into our dream home together.
We were married on September 15th and two days after the wedding, Jake and I decided for him to accept his dream position at Tesla doing Internal Advisory for Construction Audit. The next week was spent preparing the house that I had just moved into for sale.
Jake left for Reno and I stayed back to sell the house and pack up all the stuff. By God's grace the house sold within a few hours of putting it on the market. Tesla also handled packing and loading all of our belongings.
I was planning on staying in Denver until sometime in November, but since everything happened so fast, we decided that I needed to join Jake as soon as possible.
Jake flew back to Denver and met me so that we could go on our honeymoon in Hawaii. We spent 10 days in paradise enjoying being newly weds! We went snorkeling, paddle boarding, hiking, and we did a lot of relaxing.
We flew home on a red-eye, landed in Denver, picked up a trailer, loaded all of our stuff (including a cat, dog, and a bucket of fish), and we began our drive to Reno just a few hours later.
We stayed in a small one-bedroom apartment while we hunted for houses and we were able to find our dream house the very first weekend we were in town after just one day of looking at homes. We closed on the house in just 3 weeks.
That brings us to today. I am sitting here as the movers bring all of our joint belongings into the home we purchased together. Today is also our two year anniversary of knowing each other. Exactly two years ago we met up for a drink and pretty immediately fell in love.
God's timing is incredible.
